"When we learn about each other and understand each other, we get along better and accept each other."

Hello, my name is Victoria Karnatski. I was an elementary school teacher for the New York City Department of Education for over 23 years. I recently retired as a teacher and am writing Children's Books to address the needs I saw in the classroom.

While I was teaching, I became aware of children who were dealing with situations that many adults might never have experienced.

Some children lived in homeless shelters, had a parent incarcerated, lived in foster homes, had no school supplies or books at home, had very few pieces of clothing, had siblings in gangs, lived with eight or more siblings in a two-bedroom apartment, or lived with grandparents and did not have contact with any parent.

So, I created my "Caring Kids A-Z" series of books to bridge the gap between students; to help create a connection through compassion and understanding.

Books are available in bulk (at a discounted rate) and SEL programs can be customized for schools and organizations.
